The Campbell's VP Rant: What He Said About Soup, Customers, and Race

⚖️ The Robert Garza Lawsuit (Employment & Discrimination)

This is a high-profile case filed recently by former Campbell's employee Robert Garza against Campbell Soup Company.

Plaintiff's Allegation: Robert Garza, a former cybersecurity analyst, alleges he was wrongfully terminated in retaliation for reporting misconduct by a senior executive.

Executive's Alleged Comments: The lawsuit centers on an alleged hour-long audio recording where former VP of Information Technology, Martin Bally, is purportedly heard making multiple offensive remarks, including:

 * Referring to Campbell's products as "s*** for f***ing poor people" and "highly processed food."

 * Making alleged racist comments about Indian employees ("idiots" who "couldn't think for their f***ing selves").

 * Claiming the company's soup uses "bioengineered meat" (which Campbell's vehemently denies).

 * Admitting to often coming to work while under the influence of marijuana edibles.

Retaliation Claim: Garza alleges he was abruptly terminated in early 2025, just weeks after he reported Bally's comments to his manager.

Company Response: Campbell's publicly issued a statement confirming that they believe the voice on the recording is legitimate and calling the comments "vulgar, offensive and false." They confirmed that Martin Bally is no longer employed by the company and apologized for the hurt caused. They also specifically defended the quality of their food, stating it is made with USDA-approved chicken and does not use "3D-printed chicken, lab-grown chicken, or any form of artificial or bioengineered meat."
